From the artist, about her journey:
I am a published writer of hard and feature
news, a weekly column and technical engineering and advertising
copy. I served in corporate America as marketing director for an
international manufacturing firm for ten years. My professional
background does not include an art education. I began painting
only AFTER the near death experience and sincerely believe I
paint because I received a gift of spirit to show others what I
saw and to share the lessons I learned on the “other side.” I
paint without brushes, using only my hands and fingers.

TUESDAY
MORNINGS, JANUARY 22 AND MARCH 18 from 10AM-11AM:
FREE YOUR INNER DANCER with ROSEN
METHOD MOVEMENT
Peace-Presence-Relaxation
With JUDE GOLDSTEIN. The Rosen Method of
Movement, new to the Pittsburgh area and offered exclusively at The
Green Bough, is about turning our attention inside, bringing our
awareness to the inner body as we move to music. Developed by Marion
Rosen, these easy, unhurried movements are designed to improve alignment
and flexibility, increase range of motion, ease of breathing, and deepen
awareness of the body.
These movements "touch" our layers of holdings,
releasing them, allowing us to access our core self, our source of joy
and play, addressing: the full range of motion for major joints; the
lengthening of all muscles; the expansion of the chest & rib cage; and
the experience of relaxation in movement from the inside out.
Testimonial from Rob: "I went into the class
feeling the pressures of a busy day and came out with an inner peace
and a feeling of living in the moment. It was like taking the best
anti-anxiety medication."
No prior dance or fitness experience is necessary.
Wear comfortable clothing and come prepared to relax and have some fun.
The cost of each class is only $10.

INJURIES THAT OFTEN GO UNRECOGNIZED Muscle trauma and brain injury are
extremely common in auto accidents but may also occur in the seemingly minor
mishaps of daily life. Injury may result from falls (skateboards, bicycles,
stairs), sports (football, hockey, headers in soccer), or following high fever
or viral infections.
TRAUMA TO MUSCLES commonly produces fatigue and consistent patterns of
pain and dysfunction. These are most effectively treated through various forms
of bodywork, particularly Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy. Trigger points (TrPs)
are shortened tangled areas of muscle fibers remarkable for their ability to
send pain to areas far away from the point of origin. For example, some of the
worst pains of migraine may arise from the trapezius muscle of the shoulders and
back which refers pain to the neck, around the temple and to the back of the
eye. This pattern has all the hallmarks of "migraine" but strangely, migraine
medications may have little or no effect. Pain is effectively relieved by
treating the trigger points directly.
TRAUMA TO THE BRAIN commonly produces problems with
confusion,
sequencing and organizing, ADD, depression, and fibromyalgia. When no obvious
problem appears on the X-ray or MRI, many patients are told they are "fine." But
ripping and tearing of brain cells is microscopic; it cannot be seen on an X-ray
or even on an MRI with just a quick visual review.
The patient who has these injuries is not "fine." The problems caused by
neuronal damage are not "lack of willpower." They are real symptoms of brain
injury. They may be effectively treated with neurofeedback.
WHAT IS NEUROFEEDBACK? Neurofeedback is biofeedback for the brain.
Like other computers (and like the heart) the brain gives off tiny impulses that
appear as electrical waves. The raw signal can be separated into waves that
vibrate at different rates, from very fast to very slow.
WHAT NEUROTHERAPY IS *NOT*
Neurotherapy is not a panacea. It is not a stand-alone treatment.
It does not replace good medical treatment and good psychotherapy.
It does not eliminate trigger points or stretch out shortened painful
muscles.
It does not do marriage counseling or teach you how to deal with the
bully on the playground or at the office.
If you or your child has had a learning disability, it doesn't mean that
you will suddenly know how to spell or file taxes.
All it does is give you back your brain.
And that can mean everything.
Please join us for this fast-paced and information filled presentation.
Bring your brain!

Hellinger Family Constellation
Hellinger Family Constellation Therapy
is a proven and powerful method to address
unwanted personal patterns and behaviors. This is often referred
to as shadow work, which is an absolutely essential
component of any spiritual or transformative practice.
A session of Hellinger Family Constellation Therapy is a learning experience that reveals profound insights.
It can provide life-changing knowledge to those who have a true desire to live in a more meaningful way.
It can provide prompts for profound change and growth, and fascinating depictions of the
inter-connectedness of all life.
Ancient wisdom and modern psychology both have
understood that repressed unconscious childhood issues and events play an important
role in shaping the adult psyche. Shadow patterns set in formative
years can continue to effect people throughout the course of
their lives. Deep-seated fears, difficulties, blocks, problems
in relationships and professional settings, and physical
illnesses that have their origins in the psyche are some
examples of personal problems that can be traced as far back as
childhood.
Family Constellation uses subtle energies as the source of hidden insights to
elusive "shadow" problems,
and those participating as "family members" receive insights/emotions/thoughts in an almost telepathic way.
The constellation experience presents a healing image that can reach the psyche at deep levels.
